The Ministry of Finance is responsible for public finances. The ministry is responsible for collecting taxes from citizens and businesses, and distributes the funds among all facilities (care, education, security, climate, etc.) as determined by the cabinet. The ministry is also responsible for the debt burden of the Netherlands (and the limitations of that burden).
